We Stand With the SAFE Act
This one matters to our whole community.
There is a bill in front of the U.S. Senate right now that would permanently end the slaughter pipeline for American horses and donkeys. The SAFE Act (HR1661/S775) would make it federally illegal to slaughter equines for human consumption, and to ship or transport them across U.S. borders for that purpose. Around 20,000 horses a year make that journey. This bill stops it.
FarmHouse Fresh, a Texas-based skincare brand known for its farm-to-table approach, clean natural ingredients, and strong mission of animal rescue, has been leading a national campaign to get this bill passed. They mobilized thousands of messages to U.S. Senators in just days. We are proud to stand with them.
